Eurofilter cleans up tunnel dust
Eurofilter Asia Pacific has been assigned the job of cleaning up the dust on the new Sydney Tunnelling Project.
Eurofilter Asia Pacific will provide a 160 cartridge unit that will enable the principle contractor Baulderstone Hornibrook to perform the construction of a 250m tunnel.
The tunneling project will take approximately 12 months and will rely heavily on the Eurofilter Asia Pacific unit to enable the project to run smoothly. The collectors will be made up of a modular construction which is easy to assemble and commission and will be decommissioned and removed from site at the end of the project.
All dust extracted will be conveyed along the inbuilt hoppers via screw conveyors and dropped into two bulka bags which can be removed via forklift for ease of disposals.
The tunnel boring machine will cut approximately 20m a day. The Eurofilter Asia Pacific EFC 160 Collector will extract the air borne particulate.
