MODULAR FILTER UNIT

Our Modular filter is designed to filtrate air from dry applications. Applications such as welding smoke, metal dusts, some pharmaceutical dusts, and most non-explosive dry dusts can be handled by this Modular Filter. The units are modular in construction and can be ordered in 1, 2, 3 or even more modules. The modules can also be refitted in the field by removing panels and bolting additional units together, thus making it ideal for growing companies. The MF Filter is not designed for excess temperatures, explosive contaminants or flammable gases.

Thanks to its high filtration efficiency, filtered air can be returned to the working area. Caution should be taken when filtering contaminants that also contain harmful gases. In this case air should be filtered then exhausted to the outside. The MF Filter also shouldn't be used to filtrate air which is laden with more than 2.5% of oilmist or emulsions. The main components of the filter consist of a base with integral waste drawer, filter cartridge housing a cleaning system enclosure. The Inlet plenum to the filter is mounted on the short side of the filter housing. Each module houses two round washable spun bond polyester cartridges cartridges.

The cleaning system enclosure consists of a compressed air tank, diaphragm valve, solenoid valve and connecting components as well as 2 venturi tubes for venturi assisted cleaning of the filters. The top plate is adapted for either a fan mounting directly to the unit or an outlet flange connection to a remote fan. The MF Filter is fabricated of Powder coated painted steel. The filter electrical and cleaning systems controls comes as standard with:

• thermal overload protection for fan motor,
• automatic timed cleaning with offline pulsing after shutdown.

Construction Overview

1. Housing - steel, powder painted construction. The elements, such as prefilter (8), main cartridge filter (9), and the compressed air cleaning system (11-14).
2. Base-plate – steel, powder painted.
3. Waste drawer cover – when opened, the User is given full access to the waste compartment.
4. Waste Compartment.
5. Legs.
6. Inlet Plenum – size may vary.
7. Fan.
8. Prefilter – “metal”, for protection against sparks.
9. Main Cartridge - cartridge selected in accordance with the application.
10. Compressed Air Tank - staging tank, the volume of air is sufficient for one pulse cleaning cycle. The tank is equipped with a safety valve.
11. Solenoid Valve - operating element in the cleaning process (SCG 353 44 type, CM6-FT 24V AC coil).
12. Compressed Air Preparing Unit - filtering-reduction unit (No 50 0201.1207.10).
